Students interested in pursuing a computer science minor must take and pass CMSI 1010 , ENGR 160  or ENGR 1200  with a minimum grade of C (2.0) before being considered. 

A minor in computer science is also available, with the following requirements: 

1. (a) CMSI 1010  or ENGR 160  or ENGR 1200 , and (b) CMSI 2120  or CMSI 3630  

2. (a) CMSI 2130 , or (b) CMSI 2210 , or (c) CMSI 2820  

3. Enough upper division CMSI electives to reach 18 total units 

An average grade of C (2.0) must be accumulated over all courses included in the minor.
